The Onaré Academy was born out of a need to fill the gap in education for hairdressers between technical perfection and effortless beauty. We promote a positive, supportive and unique program with focused online classes that feature highly-skilled instructors and expert-level advice.  

We want to outline the importance of fundamentals as the necessary stepping stones to defining your place in the salon and beauty industry! 

Our training system is successful and has even helped our own team members feature their work in national publications, on television, in winning awards and becoming finalists in international hair competitions. Joining Onaré Academy will be a rewarding experience as it will not only enhance your knowledge of hair styling techniques, but you will also be a part of a successful and thriving community of other passionate Academy members. 

DEVELOP YOUR SKILLS

Whether you’re an experienced stylist or a newcomer to the industry, our courses are available for all who are interested in learning. Spend time on the skills that you didn’t get to focus on in your diploma program, like mastering the Essential Cut and Colour Classics, Special Event Styling, Razor Cutting, and how to handle various hair textures and densities. There is no limit to how much you can learn and ultimately EARN with our world-class educators there to support and guide you through it all!

You can apply fundamental knowledge of classic hairstyling techniques to virtually any type of hairstyle. The skills you learn with Onaré will be essential to daily work in any salon environment. At Onaré Academy, we wholeheartedly believe that fundamentals are the building blocks of accomplishment and productivity. From this, every aspect of your career will flow. It is crucial to master the fundamentals and practice them to attain the professional lifestyle you are seeking.  

A benefit to having a career in the salon industry is that you control your schedule and flexibility. That is why our classes are perfect - you can easily choose when to take a virtual course! We created our Academy classes to adjust to your interests and needs. From picking individual classes, creating class bundles, or jumping in with the full program, signing up for these courses brings you steps closer to establishing the career and lifestyle you deserve!   

OUR COURSES

Students within the Academy courses will: 

• Watch live demonstrations. 
• Learn how to conduct effective hair consultations. 
• Engage in a hands-on session using mannequins(in-person course). 
• Receive detailed feedback on performance and a customized plan for future development (in-person course). 
• Build a strong foundation for future growth. 

 

General Class Information:

Online Course(s): 1:00PM to 4:00PM

In-Person Course(s): 10:00AM to 4:00PM

CERTIFICATION

Upon completing our Academy courses, you will have gained insight and learned techniques that will help you command high income prices in your area, acquire clientele to boast about, and define work that is worthy of being featured on the cover of a magazine. 

Students will receive an individual Certificate in each area of study upon successfully completing the course.  Our courses do not require approval under the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. Our Enrolment terms are not subject to the Private Career Colleges Act, 2005. At this time, we do not offer Vocational Programs.
